Making their TMR debut today is Californian outfit Younger Hunger with their riveting indie-pop track ‘Straight Face’. From the instant that those syncopated beats come into play, we’re greeted with an instantly catchy melody and lyrics that will stick in your head for days. It’s a real uplifting moment from the Orange County three-piece, and this surge of feel-good pop songwriting was completely intentional, as frontman Tony Davia illuminates, “Sometimes you realise you’ve gone through the whole day, week or month without smiling.  This tune is a shout-out to the person who changes that.” As well as having a shared love for creating lofi alt-pop bangers, Younger Hunger also enjoy drinking margaritas, playing Nintendo 64 and dreaming of “destroying the world.” Also according to their Facebook page, they’re managed by Lucifer himself, so yeah... hail Satan for tunes? - Hannah Thacker
