Los Angeles band XYLØ have shown already that they are not only capable of achieving great things, they're actually on the cusp of grasping moody pop perfection and the superstardom that comes with it just three tracks in. The fourth addition to their canon is a sleek, softly-crushing ballad called, 'L.A. Love Song'. Paige Duddy seems to apply an extra layer of gloss to her earnest vocal with each passing release, and brother Chase provides the perfect melodic compliments on 'L.A. Love Song' in his mellow, trilling drum machines, haunting, echo-laden pianos and gently bleached synthesizer drones. It's an absolute stunner once again, and further proof that XYLØ will own 2016 in the electronic-pop world. - DC
