At the top of the summer we were shouting about a new Brooklyn artist we felt was hugely indebted to legendary XL producer (and now reclusive internet meme) Jai Paul. Much like his stylish, hyper-original predecessor, Xan Young is fond of stepping back into the shadows whenever possible. Although unlike Jai Paul, Xan Young has actually revealed a few key details about himself this week - along with the b-side to his divine debut single, 'Passion'. Xan's real name is in fact Matthew Young, who some may recognise from his stints in Vacationer and Body Language, and on this new cut, 'Worthy', he displays yet more of that charm and electronic flair that sold us so heavily in the first place with bold flares of synth cresting atop scattered beats and warping vocal samples.
