WU-LU SEVEN

We caught South London's Wu-Lu curating a night at the since-closed Birthdays in Dalston almost a year ago and we've been waiting patiently for new tunes ever since. New single 'Seven' doesn't disappoint. Featuring some phenomenal beats from Black Midi's Morgan Simpson, 'Seven' strikes a unique balance between glitchy bedroom-pop and adventurous left-field hip-hop. Exploring themes of human connection and extended family, the track cuts straight to the chase asking, "Why do I feel like you're more than a friend?" Wu-Lu explains, "This song touches on thoughts and feelings that a lot of people have about their close ones. Even though most are from different walks of life. Seven is an in-depth look into caring about someone so much but not being able to help them the way you want to." Wu-Lu's new EP S.U.F.O.S. (Save Us From Ourselves) will arrive on the 26th of April. Catch him live on the 25th at The Windmill in Brixton. -Holly Mullineaux
