Occasionally, you'll spin a new track for the very first time and by the sixty second mark, you're already humming along to the melody and joining in with the chorus. Danish duo MORE are pretty adept at carving out those über familiar patterns in their work, because we're obsessed with their latest single, 'Without You'. We picked up on their previous release, 'I Need You', a couple of months back, and it was the same story then - instant pop hooks packaged in woozy flurries of synth and jingle-jangle piano progressions. 'Without You' takes those vibes one step further, with brooding edges (pining strings and coarse guitar licks) sanded down to reveal some truly jaw-dropping vocals from Jack Kilburn and Anders Hamann. There's something of a Connan Mockasin-meets-Jungle aesthetic to MORE's treacly alternative-pop, that's probably why we're so wrapped up in these dudes. You will be, too. - DC
