Icelandic duo Wesen get angry about technology on the beach, in the video for their new single ‘Beach Boys’. Lifted from their forthcoming debut full length Wall Of Pain - the new track is a stellar example of gorgeous simplicity. ‘Beach Boys’ meanders along, with singer Júlía Hermannsdóttir’s celestial voice filling the gaps left by its sparse, atmospheric instrumentals. Guided by the gentle strum of Loji Höskuldsson’s guitar, the fret work is interspersed with subtly placed cello work, placed atop of simple, electronically bolstered percussion. Wesen’s debut album Wall Of Pain is set for release on 14 October via Hidden Trails, and it’s sure to be a thing of beauty. -JC
