Canadian foursome Weaves are on a hell of a roll at the moment. Having burst onto the scene with their superb self-titled debut last year, Weaves triumphantly returned with the electrifying ‘#53’ a few weeks ago and have now revealed its equally infectious follow-up, ‘Walkaway’ - the second single from their forthcoming second album Wide Open (via Memphis Industries and due 6^th October). An honest, vulnerable and affecting outing, lead singer Jasmyn Burke describes ‘Walkaway’ as "a song about empowerment and finding light in the darkness". She goes on to state that it’s “a reflective song in tone and at the time I wrote it I was stuck in a moment of having to make a decision to stay or leave an unhealthy situation. It's okay to admit that we're vulnerable and having a hard time and sometimes you have to just walk away.” The new single is also accompanied by a video (directed by guitarist Morgan Waters) and news of European tour dates.
