The second track from his recent Only You EP, ‘Tibet’ is a pulsating piece of electronic music from the incredible production powerhouse duo of Warung. The opening moments combine a dark, filtered synth sound that is slowly allowed to rise through the frequency spectrum, with heavily edited vocals and percussion that takes us through a smooth but heavy drop. A roaring bass sound takes the gritty centre stage after that, with the same vocal samples alternating with brief melodic flourishes from Tibetan stringed instruments. While the tune comes from the mind of Warung, it perfectly fits into the wider output of KDB Records, who are just as worth checking out as the artist themselves. - Dan Peeke
