It's hard to believe that it's been nearly 2 years since we covered the first smattering of singles from Manchester-based krautrock enthusiasts W. H. Lung. After their worryingly long silence, the enigmatic trio have finally returned to announce their debut album Incidental Music, which will arrive on the 5th of April. Lead track 'Simpatico People' stays true to the propulsive nature of their early works, fading in with a chugging synth sequence and a series of accenting tom hits before the bass drops. Shoegazey guitars soar majestically above the mix, adding a touch of nostalgia to the sci-fi-inspired soundscape as vocalist Joseph Evans' repetitive chants provide some welcome dynamics to the 10-minute epic.
