Having slipped us by with their first release ‘Cracks In A Colour’ back in December, we couldn’t help but sit up and listen to meandering grunge anthem that is Virgin Kids' second single ‘My Alone’. New kids on the scuzz scene, the London three piece have just announced that their much-hyped debut album Greasewheel will be a joint release in March, shared between two of everyone’s favourite DIY labels, Burger Records in the US and Fluffer Records in the UK. Comparable to Thee Oh Sees, the surf-rock vocal hooks work in perfect conjunction with healthy doses of jarring electric guitar, making music that will make you want to flail uncontrollably. With several support slots notching up with the likes of Jacuzzi Boys, The Coathangers and Dirty Fences, Virgin Kids will surely be hitting a pit near you soon and when they do, make sure you are right at the front. -SJ
