After what seems like a lifetime, Australian prodigy Vancouver Sleep Clinic returns spectacularly this week, with ‘Lung’ - his first new song in over 2 years. Making an indelible impact on many people when he first introduced himself in the summer of 2013 with ‘Vapour’ - Vancouver Sleep Clinic (aka Tim Bettinson) has been rather quiet of late, until now that is. ‘Lung’ is 3 minutes of pure, ethereal, theatrical electronic bliss. Bettinson’s ghostly, fragile vocals are the focal point as you hit the mid point, always feeling like he’s on the brink of collapse. All the while, his string-laden, electronically-bolstered arrangements stand as the perfect counterpoint. He's had a fair bit of time to plan his revival (let us be the first to guess that Revival will be the title of his debut album), and he's arrived all guns blazing with a fancy new website, and a majestic animated video for the aforementioned new track. Overall, it's stunning return from Vancouver Sleep Clinic, and once again, he’s got the world at his feet. -JC
