Just as we all start yearning for the summer months, New Orleans musician Val Hollie has teleported us straight there with new single 'The Man Who Has Dreams'. Complete with soft jangling 80's synth pop hooks, there is a DIY warmth to it that can only come from the loving nature it was cobbled together with. Recorded in a studio born from the ruins of a gutted house with his friend Ross Farbe, the name of the track has never rung more true with a process. The accompanying video may be pretty budget but again it suits the whole ethos of this gem. A seeming bedroom project gone public. - SJ
