TMR favourites Ulrika Spacek have lifted the lid on the secret 7" that came with the limited edition copies of their recently-released sophomore album Modern English Decoration, as they release their wonderful off-kilter rendition of Parsley Sound's 'Ease Yourself and Glide' into the digital realm. The Ulrika Spacek version of the critically acclaimed noughties jam, is strikingly more wobbly in tone than the original, straddling the line between haunting chorus sounds and pulsating vibratos, which seem to warp and oscillate throughout. Singer Rhys Edwards' husky falsetto vocals add to the retro vibe of the track, bearing resemblances to a super lo-fidelity version of the Beach Boys. Ulrika Spacek head out on an European Tour next month, before returning to their home turf in Hackney for their biggest headline show to date at Oslo on the 12th of October. -HLMX
