Picking up where 2018's In A Poem Unlimited left off, 4AD signing Meg Remy (pka U.S. Girls) has shared news of her forthcoming new album Heavy Light. Due to arrive on the 6th of March, Heavy Light's lead track 'Overtime' is a drastically more soulful offering than her previous efforts. Boasting earthy percussion, dramatic piano chords and driving, disco-y guitars, a churchy Hammond organ rotates and quivers beneath Remy's commanding lead and a powerful group of gospel backing singers. With a wild saxophone solo courtesy of E Street Band member Jake Clemons perforating the tune just before the 2 minute mark, 'Overtime' feels more like a religious experience than a pop song.
