Last month we finally got to listen to the first taste of TT (Theresa Wayman of Warpaint fame)'s highly-anticipated solo record with the incredible 'Love Leaks' and we've been entranced ever since. 'I've Been Fine' is the heartbreakingly cool follow up, which showcases Wayman's passion for beats and sees her fusing together influences from Kendrick Lamar to Debut-era Björk with ease. The lyrics are painfully relatable, retelling the emotional fall out from a previous relationship as she sings opening line "I've been fine, when all my friends around me give me advice." She goes on to question "how long has it been since you and I?" before bursting into the pleading hook of the chorus, which simply asks, "What can't you be next to me?" over and over again. It's a deeply personal outing for Wayman having played all the instruments on the album as well as starring in, directing and editing the video for 'I've Been Fine' herself. LoveLaws comes out on the 18th of May followed by TT's headline show at the Pickle Factory in London on the 23rd. -Holly Mullineaux
