Troves is a dark, shapeshifting pop project from Brighton, fronted by singer-songwriter Lani McDonagh. Its been a little while since McDonagh last stepped out - almost a year to be precise, with the splendid 'Youth In Decay (Embody)' - but her absence hasn't diminished the quality of TROVES' sound. New single, 'Love', is TROVES gliding seamlessly back into form with washed-out synths, knuckle-cracking drum machines and McDonagh's razor-sharp vocals sounding both bleached and blackened in equal measure. - DC
