TENDER BLEED

From the minute we first came into contact with mysterious London project TENDER, we knew they had grandiose ambitions. What band creating massive indie-pop anthems in the Ian Brown mould (debut track 'Legion') from the start doesn't? Since 'Legion', the sultry twosome have eked out a steady stream of smooth, progressively more soulful singles, culminating in 'Bleed' this week. In keeping with their more recent output - yes, we know they've only been a band for a minute - 'Bleed' is an ebbing, flowing, melting pot of wispy vocals, elegant synths and enticing beats; at once, TENDER are purveyors of R&B slow jams, hands-aloft pop, and indie for the discerning, red wine guzzling dandy in us all. Our discovery of the summer, easy. - DC
