Alongside news of a 2017 UK headline tour, Tall Ships have revealed a live version of their brilliant current single 'Meditation On Loss'. The wonderfully frenzied cut - taken from the band's Fat Cat-released second record Impressions, which is due 10 February - is given extra oomph in the live arena as we're treated to a fly-on-the-wall-style look at the Brighton four in their natural environment. Shades of Editors and revved-up Interpol shine through as a driving bass line leads the way to the epic, wholly empowering chorus. It's great to have Tall Ships back and if this track is anything to go by, its accompanying record and live show are both set to give indie rock fans something serious to cheer about. -G.O'B
