TĀLĀ ALCHEMY

London producer/vocalist TĀLĀ has built her reputation thus far on stomping, mechanistic beat formations; cement mixer-churn synths, broiling and bubbling bass, and wrecking ball percussion.

Unlike recent cut 'Black Scorpio', 'Alchemy' is her shot at showcasing some of those glossy vocals we first heard snippets of on 'Serbia'. It's still sticks true to the British/Persian rising star's idiosyncratic industrial production values, but those caramel-coated vowels add some tangible sweetness and flair to the otherwise crunchy melodies at play. There's essentially nothing this woman can't turn her hand to, and that's what they say about all true alchemists, right? - DC
