A track already awash with nostalgia, Swimming Tapes’ superb second single ‘Set The Fire’ has recently been gifted a suitably sepia-toned video. The London-based quintet are doing everything right so far. Having already picked up accurate comparisons to the likes of Real Estate, Belle & Sebastian, and Day Wave - the outfit, signed to rising London-based label Hand In Hive, have a sound which transcends musical generations. Blending the finest elements of modern guitar-based dream pop, with simply great songwriting - harking back to the The Beach Boys’ glory days, Swimming Tapes are really onto something here.
