Steady Holiday (aka Los Angeles-based songwriter Dre Babinski), has just revealed the unsettling second single from her new album Nobody's Watching. Tapping into the iconic, eerie trip-hop of Portishead, 'Who's Gonna Stop Us' is a quietly terrifying examination of "greed, fear and self-interest; the ugly and troubling edges of human nature." The chorus calls out subtle manipulation as Babinski sings "It’s so easy that I can’t believe they don’t see the plan, you put the beauty in the front and you control from the back, I wanna hate you but only because you beat me to it" whilst revealing her own secret desire to be in charge. The accompanying video directed by Isaac Ravishankara feeds into this idea, as we see Babinski using her powers to control a group of easily-influenced subjects.
