After releasing ‘Klein Blue’, the melodramatic pop anthem for the masses, Sophia Somajo (AKA Soso) has somehow managed to outdo herself with new track ‘Sapphire’. With a vocal range scarily similar to Sia and catchy, electronic textures throughout, Sophia is a potential pop phenomenon waiting to happen. Lyrically, the song is a stodgy heartbreak with the Swedish-born gem claiming that “Like a rare jewel/with your heart so blue/you’ll never be mine, Sapphire”. Both tracks are being released by Razzia Records this Friday as part of a AA-side single The Blue Chapter and also appearing on forthcoming EP, Freudian Slip Vol.1. -JE
