With a voice that can melt souls, The Slow Revolt or London songwriter Joe Mizra will be releasing new EP Sketches on 9 September. The collection of songs was formed from album writing sessions and although electric, have a rich acoustic feel. Single 'Messina' is the third track and demonstrates Mizra's sparse but deep sound. Drawing back enough to allow his all important voice and lyrics to resonate, the bluesy guitar is deliciously deep. With Pakistani heritage, his voice holds an authentic falsetto that adds extra feeling to an already expressive vocal.
