SLOW PULP IDAHO

Chicago-based indie rock band Slow Pulp have a sound that's comfortingly familiar, nodding the 90's artists like The Pixies. Their name is also a great reflection of their sound - slow and pulpy. Just landed is their new single 'Idaho', taken from their upcoming debut album Moveys. Gritty rhythm guitars contrast with the spacey, chorus-drenched lead and monotonous tambourine hits ring, nodding to sounds of 90's bands like Brian Jonestown Massacre, with a tinge of Mazzy Star's depression. Vocals are downcast and fantastically moody in the verse, then become stacked in dense, pop harmony, accompanied by big symbol splashes during the chorus. We patiently await the new album Moveys, which is out October 9th via Winspear. But for now, enjoy 'Idaho'. -Ellie Rose-Davies
