The mysterious producer Silence Path has recently dropped his latest EP In Perfect Harmony, and within it we are treated to the excellent ‘Illusion’. The piece progresses gently, layering each element as it goes on, from prominent syncopated percussion to a luscious, subtle bed of strings. Silence Path gives a vehicle to the emotionally charged melodies and experimental instrumentation that defines this closing track, while light-hearted moments and warm basslines maintain a consistently thick texture, where all the elements are free to complement each other perfectly. -Dan Peeke
