We've had a keen eye on ascendant Persian/Rotterdam-based R&B goddess Sevdaliza since she blew our minds with the slickly nubile Sirens of the Caspian last Summer, and more recently with her nu-trip-hop, back to mine ballad, Marilyn Monroe.  With ‘One Armed Lullaby’ she intoxicates anew, her silken, raspy tones swathed in a murky backdrop of twinkly piano and skittering beats.  This may be a more languid, downtempo affair, but make no mistake: you are hearing a steel fist wrapped in a velvet glove. Red Bull already have her back as one of their hottest shouts for 2016, and so do we. -AO
