Her latest single ‘Vibes’ is a soothing, lo-fi pop single that dips its toes into elements of R&B and soul to add a richness to this relatively simple song. Over a backdrop of sparkling melodies, soft acoustic strings and steady backbeats, Sereena's honeyed vocals float on a daydreamy cloud, each pensive verse returning to the same refrain: “I can’t take this anymore, / My soul is yearning for something more.” Entering the last third of ‘Vibes’, we’re treated to a soulful, jazzy saxophone performance before Sereena repeats her mantra one more time, then exiting the stage, hopefully to pursue her heart’s desires and inspire the listener to do the same. - Hannah Thacker
