SEGO OBSCENE DREAM

If you are as thrilled as us about the return of the almighty LCD Soundsystem, then LA duo Sego are a new act to whet your appetite until James Murphy comes through with new material. The first single ‘Obscene Dream’, taken from their debut LP Once Was Lost Now Just Hanging Around, (out 4th March on US label Dine Alone) is an infectious party-starter filled with punchy distorted vocals and synth-infused beats. Taking direct influence from the dry percussive nature of DFA’s back catalogue, these two purveyors of electro-pop are not only creating something uncontrollably danceable but also manage to make fun of modern day life at the same time with their quick-witted lyrics. With no sign of UK shows yet, we've had to stop ourselves getting on the next plane to the US. -SJ
