We first encountered SCALPING when they blew us away at Birthdays on an incredible line up curated by LICE frontman and The Bristol GERM founder Alastair Shuttleworth. The Bristol-based techno-punks have just marked the first release of brand new label Council Records with their phenomenal debut single ‘CHAMBER’. Opening with a sequence of warped electronics, ‘CHAMBER’'s heavy-hitting heartbeat is introduced around the 15 second mark in the form of a thudding four-to-the-floor kick. With snippets of noise-guitar accenting the mix, relentless hi-hats provide the track’s dance-inspired sound, building up just after 2 minutes towards a mammoth drop that sees out the rest of the song.
