RON GALLO ALWAYS ELSEWHERE

Nashville garage-rock guru Ron Gallo has shared the electrifying second single from his forthcoming new album Stardust Birthday Party. Anchored by the all-important bridge lyrics, inspired by the words of philosopher Alan Watts and spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle, 'Always Elsewhere' unpicks Gallo's desire to live in the present and enjoy the moment through a whirlwind of wiry guitars, driving drums and hair-brained vocals. The track comes with an equally thought-provoking video, which sees Gallo wandering around some unusual locations carrying a cumbersome cardboard box labelled 'self'. He explained, "In the video I carry around a box that represents my false sense of “self” or the character I play with no real awareness or interest in anything that is actually happening around me. Which is a dumbed down, literal version of what daily social life is. In the end, I finally set the box down to see what is inside." -Holly Mullineaux
