RITUAL (Gerard O'Connell, Adam Goss and Tommy Baxter) are back with another slow-burning, electronic heavy R&B stunner ‘Real Feels’ which may just surprise some loyal listeners out there. At the opening, it’s a classic RITUAL combination of minimalist electronics and sweet, soulful harmonies courtesy of O’Connell and guest vocalist Mononoke. Then, it all starts to heat up with burst hedonistic trap beats and a turnt tempo backing the breathy vocals, and signaling to the listener that we’re moving towards something big, that being an on-fire performance from rising rapper Denzel Curry. ‘Real Feels’ is the first song to be written in conjunction with other producers, and in this case it’s FnZ, the producer behind A$AP Rocky’s ‘LSD’. This fresh creative injection has led to a decadent mix of digital beats, hip-hop, R&B and alternative-pop that could very well be the breakthrough that RITUAL has been deserving off for a long time now. - HT
