Released through the Muak Music label, ‘Kalitina’ is a hypnotic portal into another world. The way Redsea combines acoustic instruments (like the bright piano that provides a lot of the melodic material) with the quiet synths that underpin the track is one of the main aspects that transported early SoundCloud listeners “somewhere far away”. Combining an almost metronome-like click with the deep, bass-heavy kit sound has paid off, as the rhythm slots between the other instruments, filling every sonic gap available and creating a smooth, relaxing release. -Dan Peeke
