Producer Rage Logic and vocalist-musician Ben Zaidi have paired up on ‘No Brakes’, a dynamic track about the fast-paced music industry. Opening with mixed down instrumentals, the track bursts into leftfield electronics, a heavy handed beat and weird accordion-esque synths which very much meets Ben Zaidi’s criteria of “making more than a hit.” Zaidi’s vocal is raw throughout, complementing the purposefully unpolished although impressively intricate production, as he boasts “I’m coming up fast, two feet on the gas.” Speaking on behalf of the colloborative duo, Ben Zaidi shared his gratitude for supporters of the track on Instagram: “in the past few months i’ve been collaborating more with other artists & it’s exciting that these songs are now starting to see the light of day. for most of my life i’ve worked alone, but every time i work with someone new i feel a different side of myself can come out. ‘no brakes’ is no exception…” Not that we need to tell you or anything, but watch this space. - Hannah Thacker
