Australian outfit PVT manage to sound like no-one but at the same time in the mist of all their experimentation, you can pinpoint certain influences. On new single 'New Spirit', tribal drumming, the synths sounds of the 80s and techno beats all have their place in their murky world. Pronounced 'pivot', the band will be releasing a new album of the same name on 17th Feb via Felte and from what we hear, it's looking to be a political affair. As Dave Miller of the band says "Lyrically, it references all the regressive politicking over the past 5 years. The Spirit of Australia. We need to work on a better one." Well that displeasure in the way things are heading certainly explains the power within this music. - SJ
