PUMAROSA FALL APART

Having caught a cheeky glimpse of Pumarosa's new material at the Brixton Windmill only a matter of weeks ago, we had an inkling that the insanely talented quartet's new recordings would have the potential to be mind-blowing and we weren't wrong. Pursuing a more obviously dance-driven sound, comeback single 'Fall Apart' centres around a hectic trip-hop beat. Combining housey electronic elements, glitchy, video-game-esque keys parts and more warped sirens than we've ever heard in a single song before, vocalist/songwriter Isabel Munoz-Newsome's commanding vocals writhe unfazed above the chaos. Arriving alongside the announcement of their second album Devastation (the follow up to 2017's stunning debut The Witch), Pumarosa will play an extra special launch show at London's Electrowerkz on the 30th of July before heading further afield in support of the album in November. -Holly Mullineaux
