This eleven minutes of hypnotic deep house comes from the mind of Projecture, one half of the Groove Boys Project. It comes from his Deep Side Of The Moon (one point for guessing where that title came from) EP, a collection of New York-style deep house tracks. He opens this one with some funky chromatic chords, a manic (yet quiet) jazz drum pattern and a twisting and turning saxophone solo courtesy of Kamasari. As the track progresses, we’re introduced to a fair few new textural elements, such as the delicate keyboard-led breakdown that comes halfway through, and the percussion-heavy dance break that brings the track to a close. ‘Tribute To Saint Germain’, is exactly what it says on the tin: a tribute to French producer St Germain.
