Northern seaside resort Whitley Bay is better known for its long stretch of blustery coastline than the kind of tropical, indie breeziness crafted by hometown four-piece Polarsets. They've been working on their debut album, Parasols, for almost four years now - inspired by their boozy trips to Ibiza and sold-out tours in South America, their one-off drops on Neon Gold and Kitsuné set the tone for this, their sultry, sweltering summer release 'Madrid'. Parasols isn't out until the end of next month but there's enough lush beats and lurid synths to keep us occupied until the title track - and a rework of signature tune 'Leave Argentina' - drops in the next few weeks.
