PBSR HOLDING

Rarely do electronic tracks build quite as steeply or quickly as PBSR’s new single, but we defy you not to get fully involved in the intense musical journey of ‘Holding’. If you’re not familiar with the artist, PBSR is Pablo Serrano – a Spanish national now living in Camberwell after studying at the London College of Music. His music is deeply inspired by the likes of Pink Floyd, Brian Eno and Mike Oldfield, but it was Sigur Rós who finally inspired Serrano to pursue a career in music. The influence of the Icelandic band is felt deeply in ‘Holding’, which builds layers upon layers of screeching synths and electronic blips. Originally from a small town called Murcia on the south-east coast of Spain, the video stays true to PBSR’s heritage, with gorgeously shot architecture providing the backdrop to some seriously impressive skateboarding. Speaking about the track, PBSR says: "Holding was the last song I wrote for the EP. It is one of the most intense songs I've ever written, after I struggled to find myself and my mind space in London, and I think the song conveys that fragility.” – Holly Manners
