‘Flavias Silver Silhouette’ is another jazzy release from Danish producer Paxton Fettel. He uses his combined instrumental talents and production skill to create an utterly convincing blend of horn/guitar-led jazz, with a danceable, club-friendly beat underpinning the whole piece. His harmonic experimentations and improvised melodic lines give a subtle complexity to the piece, while minimalist-inspired loops keep unfolding throughout. The most impressive thing about this release is that he avoids falling in to the trap many producers wander in to, as this piece would work just as well through headphones on a bus as it would on a dancefloor. -Dan Peeke
