Rising dreampoppers Our Girl have continually gone from strength to strength in their relatively short but fruitful existence. It feels like only yesterday that the Brighton-based trio dropped their brilliant self-titled single, which we covered here at TMR a month ago. 'I Really Like It' is the uplifting follow up, which see's singer/guitarist Soph Nathan opening up about falling in love. Nathan explains, "It’s one of our newest songs. I was initially quite nervous to share it because it feels quite different to the others. I’d never written about love in this way before. It has the inevitable moments of craziness and longing that can come with falling in love, but mainly it’s just a really happy song." With ex-The Coral member and acclaimed songwriter Bill Ryder-Jones on production duties, 'I Really Like It' captures the excitement of a new relationship soundtracked by driving indie pop. Our Girl will support Bill Ryder-Jones on his headline tour of the UK next month as well as headlining their own show at London's Moth Club on the 22nd of May. -Holly Mullineaux
