The wonderfully enigmatic Nuha Ruby Ra is sharing news of a new EP with her feral new belter 'Self Portraiture'. Balancing wildly experimental instrumentation with satisfying vocal hooks and a naughty bass groove, sirens wail atop of lurking backing vocals and jagged, Andy Gill-esque guitar work. The highly conceptual piece captures Nuha's ethos perfectly, demonstrating a level of idiosyncrasy that is both rare and a thing to be treasured. She explains: "Self Portraiture is a raw portrait of myself right now, think of it like a painting. I think the song is lyrically revealing, to give anymore away would be to limit the imagination of the receiver. Don’t be fooled by the beginning, the middle, or the end."
