Memphis-based NOTS are increasingly leaning away from their punk roots, delving into a deeper and darker world of psychedelia, and it sounds great. The band's SoundCloud tag of "Weird Punk" is completely appropriate, with Natalie Hoffman's commanding vocals remaining intact above a new-found experimental wave of analogue synthesizers and a pounding post-punk bass line.
