Aussie garage rockers The Murlocs formed a couple of years ago in the excellently named coastal town called Ocean Groove. Consisting of 2 members of the legendary King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Ambrose Kenny-Smith takes the lead in The Murlocs, whilst Cook Craig trades in guitar for bass. They are joined by drummer Matt Blach, Callum Shortal on lead guitar and Tim Karmouche on keys and rhythm guitar. King Giz have promised to deliver a mad 5 full-length albums in 2017, so it's kind of a miracle that The Murlocs have been able to get anything out at all this year. However, quality is not compromised and we're very glad that they've managed to deliver a brilliant new cut in 'Snake In The Grass'. It's a fuzzy combination of dirty guitars which chug along relentlessly, whilst Kenny-Smith jumps between bluesy vocals and erratic harmonica interludes.
