There are times when a band will remerge from a long period of absence and we'll simply shrug our shoulders. Rightly or wrongly, but because there's such an overload of new music online every day, artists need to keep their fingers on the pulse. Australian trio Movement are not one of these bands, in fact, we've been checking their SoundCloud and socials regularly awaiting their return. 'LACE' is being tagged as a 'demo', but the production values would put most artist's final masters to shame. It all starts with a hiss of needle to vinyl and before we know it, we're back in their thrall, with soothing electronic grooves and beats that grow steadily into a beautifully looming wall of sound. If this is just a demo as they say, their forthcoming full-length album could be one of next year's most important debuts. - DC
