MorMor (aka Seth Nyquist) is a Canadian multi instrumentalist and singer with a background in choir. His sound is characterised by his falsetto singing and off-kilter chord progressions. His first EP Some Place Else has just come out, after a generous drip of singles. The first track from the EP is also titled ‘Some Place Else’. Fuzzy synth bass comes in with relaxed drums, whilst thin, wavering synths create spaciousness and set the atmosphere. The synths thicken up in the chorus, and MorMor’s vocals softly and soulful ponder "Is there some place else?". Seth’s voice is organic and soft and has undeniably flourished, probably because he has been singing and playing piano for as long as he can remember. -Ellie Rose-Davies
