MORLY SERAPHESE

Minnesota whiz MORLY follows our own young British production talents, TĀLĀ, and GEoRGiA, in making the leap from bedroom to club with her pulsing debut tune 'Seraphese'.

For all its sensuous lilts, the backing track is principally lacking in the hyper-detail associated with her peers: a beating heart of shuddering pianos is sheltered in a skeleton of clinking, metronomic drums, muted blips and bloops, and snaking bass - but MORLY's sparing vocals, balmy and utterly detached of context, make for a curiously compulsive listen. Like peering through the broken windows of a dilapidated family home and trying to rekindle the warmth once felt; 'Seraphese' comforts, and holds you at arm's-length simultaneously.
