New Zealand's hottest new guitar band have arrived in the form of melodic grunge enthusiasts Miss June. Fronted by writer, musician, skateboarder, model, doctor and all round wonder woman Annabel Liddel, guitarist Jun Park, bass player Chris Marshall and drummer Tom Leggett complete the ambitious line up. Having just announced their signing to New York indie label Frenchkiss Records, 'Best Girl' is a sludgy mission statement with a frighteningly catchy chorus. Liddel, explains, “('Best Girl') is an anthem for anyone who has been misled from birth, into battle for a spot that doesn’t exist.” Listen here now. -Holly Mullineaux
