MEATRAFFLE LOVE HZ

South London scene linchpins Meatraffle have been winning over fans with their self-described "PSYCHEDELIC, SOCIALIST, UTOPIAN, DEATH RAGGA, ERRONEOUS FUNK, TRAPDOOR JAZZ, BASTARD MUSIK" for a while now. They're also Fat White Family's favourite band and it's pretty easy to see why. Their latest offering 'Love Hz' is the slow-grooving b-side to their emotionally-charged A-side 'Brother', which was released last month as part of the Moshi Moshi Singles Club. With underground music pioneer Margo Broom (Fat White Family, Goat Girl, Shame) on the production, 'Love Hz' is an oddly romantic love song, in which lead singer Warren Mansfield reels off a list of slightly unpleasant but undeniable parings "If I could be your ulcer, you could be my stomach, I could be your stye and you could be my eye." The video, directed by Niall Trask, isn't for the fainthearted either as Mansfield leads the karaoke over a backdrop of doggy luvin'. -HLMX
