It may have been a year that didn't exactly embrace diversity but Matoma and GIA are doing their bit to change that with new single 'Heart Won't Forgot'. It may absurd that, in this day and age, same sex relationships are still somewhat shied away from being mentioned within pop and that it has to be lauded as a bold thing, but it is and we salute the pair's candour as they open with "it was you and me, girl on top of girl". The track itself is a pure pop anthem with slithers of tropical sunshine slanting through it. Now we've heard it, we're unlikely to forget it any time soon. - SJ
