Icelandic five-piece Mammút release their new album Kinder Versions next month on Bella Union. Having already fallen in love with the first cut from the LP 'Breathe Into Me' last month, the second taste from the album 'The Moon Will Never Turn On Me' comes as a welcome gift. Swapping guitars for cellos, which glide drunkenly throughout, 'The Moon Will Never Turn On Me' is beautifully dark and dramatic, leaving space in the verses for singer Kata's gorgeously distinctive vocals to shine, before bursting into a huge-sounding cinematic chorus, with chanting vocals that suck you right into Mammút's orbit. - HLMX
